The
Council's summer Student Fellows Program is a unique opportunity for graduate students to work
directly with a leader of stature and influence, most of whom are women, to
observe first hand the ways in which leadership is manifested and to work
directly on issues being addressed by the leaders. The fellows are placed in
various areas throughout the world to work with current and former women
presidents, prime ministers; current and former women ministers; at foundations
working with issues of peace, reconciliation and immigration; at major policy
institutions and with the Council Secretariat in Washington, D.C.
The fellowship
program is currently open to graduate students from Columbia University or the
Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Interested students may
apply for the program through the career
center at either school.
The Student Fellows program at the Kennedy School is generously supported each year by the Women's Leadership Board. The Columbia Fellows Program has been supported by a grant from the Office of the President of Columbia University.
